The Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP) provides free civil legal assistance to low-income Alabamians who cannot afford an attorney. If you need legal help, we may be able to connect you with a volunteer attorney.

Who Qualifies?

To qualify for assistance through the VLP, you must meet certain income guidelines. The VLP handles civil cases only — we cannot assist with criminal matters.
